Rainbows

We're spellbound when we saw a rainbow, because it's one of three sights that refect the Divine Presence. Therefore, whenever we see one, we should immediately make the blessing of "zocher Habris:"
Baruch ata A'donai, E'loheinu melech ha-olam, zocher habrit v’ne’eman biv’reetoh v’kayam b’ma’amarav.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who remembers the covenant, and is faithful to His covenant, and keeps His promise.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' אֶ'לוֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם זוֹכֵר הַבְּרִית וְנֶאֱמָן בִּבְרִיתוֹ וְקַיָם בְּמַאֲמָרוֹ

Emuna Hour: Hashem is One

Today we learn the 2nd of the 13 Principles of Emuna, Divine Unity. This principle is not only the core of our belief system, but the key to inner peace, no matter what turbulence surrounds us.

The First Principle of Emuna: No one but Him

Principle 1: I believe with complete belief that the Creator, blessed be His Name, is Creator and Director of all the creations, and He alone did, does and will do every deed.
This is the belief in the existence of the Creator and that He is the life force behind all of creation; nothing can exist without His will, from the mega-galaxies to the tiniest electron. The Creator makes everything happen and nothing can happen or exist against His will or without Him.
