Today we learn the Fourth Principle of Emuna, all about the eternality and infinitude of Hashem. Awareness of this principle saves a person tons of anxiety in life, as we're about to see...

The age-old struggle against Hellenism has been going on ever since the beginning of our history, when Esau became the first assimilationist and nemesis of his brother, our forefather Jacob. If Jacob could defeat Esau's angel, as he did in this week's timely Torah portion, then he can beat Esau. The miracles are still with us; just three days ago, the Iran's sinister top nuclear scientist who devoted his life to eliminating Israel, Heaven forbid, got eliminated himself. And just yesterday, the commander of the Iranian Republican Guards in Syria was terminated too... 

The third Principle of Emuna, that Hashem has no physical attributes nor can a finite being comprehend Him, is one of the most difficult to learn and internalize. Today's lesson shows that four hurdles stand in our way; these four hurdles are also the key to our personal and national challenges since the beginning of time.

If we find that we don't have a smile on our face, and we don't feel happy, then we have to get back to the basics. Is our emuna what it should be. Today's talk, presented to the "Drop of Inspiration" group for women, will surely encourage you. Enjoy it!

We're spellbound when we saw a rainbow, because it's one of three sights that refect the Divine Presence. Therefore, whenever we see one, we should immediately make the blessing of "zocher Habris:"
Baruch ata A'donai, E'loheinu melech ha-olam, zocher habrit v’ne’eman biv’reetoh v’kayam b’ma’amarav.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who remembers the covenant, and is faithful to His covenant, and keeps His promise.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' אֶ'לוֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם זוֹכֵר הַבְּרִית וְנֶאֱמָן בִּבְרִיתוֹ וְקַיָם בְּמַאֲמָרוֹ

Today we learn the 2nd of the 13 Principles of Emuna, Divine Unity. This principle is not only the core of our belief system, but the key to inner peace, no matter what turbulence surrounds us.

Principle 1: I believe with complete belief that the Creator, blessed be His Name, is Creator and Director of all the creations, and He alone did, does and will do every deed.
This is the belief in the existence of the Creator and that He is the life force behind all of creation; nothing can exist without His will, from the mega-galaxies to the tiniest electron. The Creator makes everything happen and nothing can happen or exist against His will or without Him.
